Lovers may come and lovers may go,
But I throw away my heart every time.
Some that are fast and some that are slow,
But I've never found a way to keep my love alive.
And when all that I believed in has shrivelled into grey,
Can you understand it when I say?

I've learnt to create respectable games,
That keep me at a distance where I'm safe and sound.
Some things are lost and others are gained,
